Use your numbers.
Find the break-even point.
Estimate the incremental contribution from a keepsake-first family journey. Contract face value is shown for context. The return is based on gross contribution.
How we calculate this
This is a planning model. It does not guarantee appointments, completed plans, revenue, or insurance production.
Zone 1 contacts = services × arrangement party × usable contact %Zone 2 contacts = services × attendees × usable contact %New contacts = Zone 1 + Zone 2Planning interest = new contacts × planning-interest rateAppointments = planning interest × booking rateClosed plans = appointments × show rate × close rateBase contribution = closed plans × gross contribution per planAttach contribution = closed plans × attach rate × average attach contributionIncremental annual contribution = base contribution + attach contributionBreak-even families = investment ÷ gross contribution per plan, rounded up
We capture in three zones. Zone 1 is the arrangement conference room, where the next of kin and on average two other survivors are already providing full contact details at the highest-intent moment in the business. Zone 2 is the visitation and the service. Zone 3 is the livestream, the online obituary, and printed program QR codes, which reach out-of-town family who never enter the building.
Reconciliation. Our observed figure is 55 attendees per service. Zone 1 defaults to 3 and Zone 2 to 52, which is that same 55. The arrangement party is counted once, in Zone 1, at the higher contact rate. It is not added on top.
Zone 3 is excluded from every headline number on this page. We have no measured data for livestream and obituary capture. Its two inputs are conservative estimates and its result is shown separately as upside. Treat it as a reason to expect more, not as a projection.
The prior vendor observed 271 pre-planning hand-raisers from 7,400 sign-ins, which is 3.66%. This calculator defaults to a lower 2.5% planning-interest assumption, applied uniformly across zones. We believe Zone 1 converts higher than Zone 2, but we have not measured it, so we do not model it higher. Current inquiries, contract face value, insurance-funded share, and existing database size are retained as operating context. They do not inflate the incremental contribution calculation.
